Elderly care continues to be prioritised and developed in Stenungsund. Well educated personnel is the corner stone of the high quality, much appreciated service.

The municipality provides modern accomodation for the elderly and the handicapped. A comprehensive home help services is available for those living independently.

The social services, the healthcare services and the regional social insurance office cooperate closely with the aim of as good a quality of life as is possible. Through its long-term, active, public health programme, Stenungsund also works preventatively.
